Handyum is a matching service. We connect homeowners with one local handyman pro through one AI conversation — no phone-blasting, no race-to-the-bottom bidding, no five competing quotes.

The five-quotes model is broken. You spend two days collecting voicemails, three contractors ghost you, and the one who shows up two days later quotes a job that's nothing like what the others scoped. We rebuilt that around a single chat: tell our AI what's wrong, we scope it, we route you to one pro who actually works your area and your kind of repair.

How we make money

Pros pay us per accepted lead — typical lead fees are $15 to $65 for repair work and a flat $300 for renovation projects. Customers pay nothing. You never see a charge from us at any point.

What we don't do

Handyum is the introduction layer — not a contractor, not an escrow service, not a warranty. We don't take a cut of the job, hold payment, vet licenses, or guarantee work quality. The pro and the homeowner agree on price, schedule, payment, and warranty directly. Before work starts, we recommend you (1) confirm the price in writing in the Handyum chat, (2) ask the pro about their license and insurance, and (3) keep all communication in the chat so both sides have a record.
