1. What we collect

From Customers: email or phone (to be reachable), the city and service you describe, the text you write in the chat, your IP address, and basic device/browser information. From Pros: business contact details, license/insurance documents you choose to provide, service areas, and lead-response history.

2. Why we collect it

To match you to a local Pro (or a Customer to a Pro), to deliver the lead, to send transactional notifications about your chat, and to improve matching quality over time. We do not use chat content to train external AI models.

3. What is shared during a match

When you finish a chat, your contact information (email and/or phone) and the AI-scoped summary of your job are shared with the matched Pro so they can reach out. Your full chat transcript is not shared by default unless you choose to send it.

4. What is not shared

Handyum does not sell or rent Customer information to third parties. We do not share Customer contact information with multiple Pros — only with the single matched Pro for the lead.

5. Cookies

We use first-party cookies and local storage to keep your chat session intact and to measure platform performance. We do not use third-party advertising cookies on customer-facing pages.

6. Your rights

You may request deletion of your account and any associated data at any time by starting a chat or emailing us via the contact details on /about/. We respond within 30 days.

7. Pros' privacy

Pros control what information they show Customers (name, area, license/insurance status). Pros are responsible for the privacy practices in their own follow-up communications with Customers.

8. Security

We use HTTPS everywhere on the platform. We do not store credit-card information — Handyum does not process payments between Customer and Pro.

9. Changes

We will post material changes to this policy on this page with an updated effective date.
